1. Call to Order and Attendance

Minutes:  

Present:  Janice Kerekes, District 1;  Carol Studdard, District 2;  Betsy Condon, District 3;  Johnna McKinnon, District 4;  Ashley Gilhousen, District 5;  and Superintendent Charlie Van Zant.

In accordance with the requirements of Florida Statute 1001.371, Superintendent Van Zant acted as Chairman through the organization.

2. Janice Kerekes (District 1), Betsy Condon (District 3), Ashley Gilhousen (District 5)

Minutes: Janice Kerekes, having been re-elected to the District 1 seat, was sworn in by J. Bruce Bickner, School Board Attorney.  Newly elected board members Betsy Condon (District 3) and Ashley Gilhousen (District 5) were sworn in with the Honorable Mark Borello, Clay County Circuit Judge, administering the Oath of Office.

3. Elect Chairman

Minutes: Mrs. Gilhousen nominated Johnna McKinnon for Chairman. The nomination was seconded by Mrs. Condon.  There being no further nominations, the nominations for Chairman were closed.  Johnna McKinnon was elected to the position by a 5-0 verbal vote.

4. Elect Vice Chairman

Minutes: 

Mrs. McKinnon nominated Betsy Condon for Vice Chairman. The nomination was seconded by Mrs. Gilhousen.  There being no further nominations, the nominations for Vice Chairman were closed.  Betsy Condon was elected to the position of Vice Chairman by a 5-0 verbal vote.

5. Establish Date and Time of Meetings

Motions:
The Regular School Board meeting shall remain on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Teacher Inservice Center at Fleming Island High School.	- PASS
